So Im very glad to make an interview with Star like you:)
Thank you George, my pleasure.

How long do you know each other?
Hmmmm, we’ve known each several years now, but it feels like forever….several lifetimes definitely….:-)

How old is project SPACEJUNKY?
Well the CD Resident Alien came out in 2007 but we also play songs in Second Life that are unreleased as of yet, the CD is available at iTunes as well as our website and we have some new stuff coming out soon. We also have a side project we have been working on called Mystic Marley which is ambient versions of Bob Marley songs and features the Wailing Souls who grew up with Bob Marley and were his backing singers in the early days. I played some keyboards on that CD but most of the album was done by Zaphod and mixed by our producer. It’s not a SpaceJunky CD but 3 of the 4 members worked on it. It will be released soon.

Can you tell us something to your history?
Well before we got together as SpaceJunky we all toured or recorded with other recording artists. I used to play keyboards for Kylie Minogue and and a bunch of other artists. I also wrote the title track off an album called Lesson Of Love which won a Grammy, Dan did the music for Beyond 2000 science show and is a session musician and Luke is a producer in his own right having won the equivalent of a Grammy in Malaysia for production and does session work etc.
There’s more info on the website www.spacejunky.com

So where exactly is your band/project, i know its a little bit complicated, so wheres true?
We are all Australian but I live in the US now and the other guys live in Sydney and Malaysia.

So, try us describe your genre plaese, to our readers. I hear is some kind of pop, am i right?

We call it cosmic pop rock…we obviously have a space theme which features quite a bit in the lyrics of our songs. We are about positive energy and the groove.

How did you discover SL? What was the reason of your first visit?
Well in 2004 I went to Tibet and while there I asked an oracle who was very famous for being accurate if SpaceJunky’s music would be successful and after rolling the dice 4 times (hes usually only rolls 3 times) he said yes. So after I came back home I was researching an ancient Tibetan symbol on the internet and I kept seeing this “flying monks” blog which turned out to be a blog about how a group in SL were recreating monasteries that had been destroyed in Tibet during the Cultural Revolution, some of which I saw. So that was how I found out about SL. From Tibet to SL….lol. I made a music video in Tibet while I was there you can see it here. http://www.spacejunky.com/products.html

Whats your favorite region in SL?
Well SpaceJunky Island would have to be my favorite, we have our own sim where we do concerts and a club, shopping and meditation areas ,gardens and beaches etc….we even have a Tibetan Stupa…there is always something happening so come say Hi….:-)

Is here any specify lifestyle in SL you like?
I think the thing about SL is that you can be anything you like, at SpaceJunky Island we have humans, aliens, furries, dragons, all kinds really I think that is wonderful. And there are so many different lifestyles its hard to pick just one. I like the way you can change constantly from what you look like to where you live, your house etc. Everything can change daily if you wanted it to.

What was the most visited show you made?
Hmmm, well we have done quite a few packed sims but I think the funniest one was when we got locked out of our own show. The sim had filled before we got there and we had to wait for the owners to ask some people to leave so we could get in. Then after we got in our fans were in the group chat saying “we can’t get in.. but we are walking the boundaries of the parcel pushing…lol” .and we are telling the crowd…”lets get the positive energy up so we can get them in”….and all of a sudden they were in and no one had left!...so that just shows power of the mind and some positive energy can do amazing things.

Can you invite our readers to your next show?
http://www.alphacrew.ning.com has our concert calendar and we welcome everyone to join up and tell everyone what you do in SL etc
We will also be doing the finale show for the SLB6 celebrations which is LL’s birthday day week

What do you think about aliens and space civilizations?:)
I love space, I think there are definitely other civilizations out there, in fact we want to be the first band in Space! and we actually contacted Richard Branson
of Galactic Airways with that request.

I really enjoy your show, thank you again for your time:)
